As Junior Event & Venue Manager, you will be part of The Arena Group 's driven team and ensure that every event runs smoothly, from quotation to execution. The Arena Group is the beating heart behind the commercial and operational management of, among other things, the Planet Group arena. Our team ensures that this iconic location in Ghent is a lively meeting place for companies, organizations, and visitors all year round. With more than 300 events per year—from meetings to large-scale productions—we take every event to the next level.

We combine professionalism with passion, creativity with efficiency, and together we form a close-knit team that strives for top-notch service every day. Our ambition? To grow the Planet Group arena into the No. 1 event location in Belgium.

YOUR ROLE

As Junior Event & Venue Manager, you are the driving force behind flawless event organization. You work closely with the Arena Group team, support the Venue Manager in logistics and administration, and are also happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

In concrete terms, this means that you:

• Follows up on incoming event requests from quotation to invoicing;

• coordinates the setup and dismantling of event venues (from furniture to event materials);

• manages suppliers and oversees the scheduling of event staff;

• ensures correct administrative follow-up of suppliers (parking, cleaning, etc.);

• contribute creative ideas about new concepts and improvements to our services;

• rolls up their sleeves when necessary to address urgent or last-minute questions;

• flexible with working hours depending on event planning;

• and acts as the logistical point of contact for our customers — before, during, and after their event.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who knows how to get things done and thrives in a dynamic work environment. Does this sound like you?

You are our ideal candidate if you:

• are in good physical condition and are not afraid to move or set up event materials;

• stress-resistant, structured, and strong in planning and organization;

• You are confident and enjoy working with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

• has good IT skills (you are willing to learn Mac and planning tools);

• have an affinity with AV equipment;

• have a Class B driver's license (or will obtain one soon);

• preferably lives in the vicinity of the Planet Group Arena in Ghent;

• and have a professional appearance that allows you to welcome customers warmly and correctly.
